GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 656953
Unsightly visual corruption when opened
Last modified: 2015-06-27 04:11:41 UTC
As sushi is opened on a file for the first time a borderless window appears to be opened first which has some of the content in, before the application displays. This could well be a mutter bug so feel free to reassign there if required, but it doesn't look very good at all.
Screencast showing the problem is temporarily hosted at: http://nickr.org/linux/shell-20110820-1.webm
This is how it looks here: http://i.imgur.com/WjVmR.gif There’s another window mapped at a different location that seems to vary and shift around. On my other box with nvidia driver I also get random pixel garbage in that early window. Just starting up also takes a just little too long for a quick previewer.
This seems to be have been fixed as a side effect of http://git.gnome.org/browse/sushi/commit/?id=46872624f3c7e14a081dc410dc95047728178470 Please reopen if you can still reproduce with that commit.
Reopening. It’s still there. Also full-screen doesn’t work on Ubuntu.
Yeah; full screen has been fixed with http://git.gnome.org/browse/sushi/commit/?h=gnome-3-4&id=a7327d0f023f5486e48f67328104fc3258b1683f - the glitch is still there unfortunately :(

It seems that this is also reported against GTK for a different application. Closing as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 682772 ***
