Description Craig Keogh 2011-08-15 23:30:04 UTC
According to Owen Taylor [1] default checkoutroot of ~/checkout/gnome is random and incoherent.

I think the default checkoutroot is OK. Any suggestions on how to improve?

This goes against the wipe-your-jhbuild-prefix "fix" but I like having $prefix/src as my checkout directory. Alternatively we could have a look at xdg user dirs and the closest match would be ~/Downloads/, perhaps a subdirectory of it?
Comment 2 Craig Keogh 2011-08-16 23:15:45 UTC
I do like the subdirectory of ~/Downloads idea for the default checkoutroot. It would be nice to have 'jhbuild' in the subdirectory name, but ~/Downloads/jhbuild_checkout is probably too long. How about ~/Downloads/checkout ?
