Description christitze 2011-08-14 09:08:02 UTC
If I use the classical empathy chat window to chat with someone there's no problem. But if the contact I'm chatting with writes me a message, I get it in the chat window AND I get the exactly same message in the black notification area at the bottom of my screen.

This is extremely annoying since I receive everything two times - in the chat window and in the notification area. I think if the chat window has the focus, the extra notifications at the bottom of the screen should be disabled for incoming chat messages.

This rather is a problem with GNOME shell but I wasn't sure where to file this bug.
