This gst-launch line doesn't work:

  gst-launch videotestsrc ! rndbuffersize ! fakesink -v


Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
ERROR: Pipeline doesn't want to pause.
Setting pipeline to NULL ...
Freeing pipeline ...

I was unable to find a combination that did work.

rndbuffersize only supports pull mode... maybe it should post a proper error message.

Or it could implement push mode by simply using an adapter
