Description bsquared 2011-08-07 15:32:14 UTC
When auto starting gnote in gnome-shell 3.x the search window is displayed rather than the tray icon.

copy gnote.desktop to ~/.config/autostart

logout/in gnotes search is displayed.

Although the OS's are virtual clones, this happens on only one of my computers.

Brian

What actually happens is that Gnote shows Search All Notes window if status icon is not displayed within 2 seconds. When auto-starting Gnote, it all depends on how quickly Gnome Shell creates it's components.
The next version of Gnote will not use status icon by default (it will remain available via setting). Finally, we have the other bug for that.

Anyway, thanks for the bug report and please report any further issues you encounter.
