Description baramavraham 2011-08-01 18:03:36 UTC
When a CD is a compilation of many artists and/or is not within the database the field "Artist" is filled by: "Various Artists" or "Unknown Artists".

When ripping the CD... TWO possibilities exist/occur:

a) if the database has (or has not) identified and retrieved the compilation CD information the "Artist" field just below the menu bar will be filled with "Various Artists" or "Unknown Artists" BUT... IN THE WINDOW THE SONG'S ARTIST IS LISTED CORRECTLY. During the ripping process the correct artists name will be replaced with "Various Artists" or "Unknown Artists" and then the song title.

b) if the database has NOT identified the compilation CD (as in not in it's database) and the user inputs the information into the "Title" and "Artist" fields within the window and then proceeds to rip the CD... Yep... During the ripping process the correct artists name will be replaced with "Various Artists" or "Unknown Artists" and then the song title.
