Thanks for the bug report. Is there any output from cheese if you run it in a terminal? Also, can you reproduce the bug with with the latest stable version (3.2.1)?

I'm in the process of reinstalling everything on that machine, and now I think it will run Debian and OpenBSD. If you think I can still be of any assistance, I'll be happy to help.

If you have cheese 3.2.1 or later in Debian and OpenBSD, you can provide information requested in comment#1.

With 3.2.2-1 on Debian testing, cheese now works as expected.
