Upon boot, all seems normal.  I am using the GUI login.  I login as root.  GUI starts to open.  I get this message when the Gnome Panel is about to load:

Application "panel" (process 1252) has crashed due to fatal error.  (Segmentation fault)

Happens at every boot.

Please try the latest (1.4.x) version of gnome-core and gnome-libs
from http://download.gnome.org/ Contact me if you need RPMS.
