Steps for reproduce.
- go to gnome-control-center.
- Go printers
- press Add New Printer (is the first printer to install and the usb cable not connected to the computer)
- crash.

Hi Fabio,

does the problem persists (I can not reproduce it)? If yes, could you run the Printers panel from terminal with "gnome-control-center printers" and paste here any warning/error messages it produce?

I dont if a bug 657874 is a dup of this. I think for the steps is similar.

since I can not reproduce this bug and since the new printer dialog was rewritten since the initial report, I'm closing this as obsolete.
If you encounter it again, please create a new bug report.
