add 'Network' to the evolution-settings.desktop file

Hi.

Could something like this patch be considered for commit?
When running in fallback mode, the evolution-settings desktop menu appears under 'Other', imho it would be nicer to have it under Internet (or another category if preferred).

Thoughts?

This seems like a good idea to me, as not everyone is running evolution3 in a non-fallback mode. Can I push this?
Comment 2 Matthew Barnes 2011-07-13 13:46:32 UTC
You can push it, although bear in mind this thing was designed for MeeGo to complement --express mode. Granted upstream still needs to merge the quick-and-easy account setup functionality into Evolution "proper", but as a distro maintainer I've actually removed evolution-settings from Fedora entirely because it really doesn't fit in a GNOME Shell environment.

But the choice is yours until upstream figures out where evolution-settings really belongs. It's kind of just clumsily tacked on at the moment.
Comment 3 Jasper Lievisse Adriaanse 2011-07-13 13:51:05 UTC
I've pushed it for the time being, if the situation changes we can revise the file. Thanks.

I agree that this settings menu is odd. I will consider doing the same as Fedora and remove it from our official package, that said I still think it's a good thing to provide a default desktop file that don't end up in 'Other' for people compiling from source for e.g. I just think it's cleaner ;-)

Anyway, thanks for the comment.
