Description pbh 2001-11-26 22:57:35 UTC
Package: panel
Version: 1.4.0.4
Severity:

>Synopsis: panel doesn't come up
>Class: sw-bug
System: athlon 1.4MHZ, gnome desktop, redhat 7.2, kernel 2.4.16

>Description:
was running allright under kernel 2.4.10 - had a power-cut and everything seemed allright apart from panel buttons - the 'tiles' could not be found in the pixmap directory.
Compiled kernel 2.4.16 and rebooted.
During boot-up it was complaining about root fs being corrupted but not many items were corrected.
When starting gnome, I got a score of crash-messages concerning the 'panel' and now there is just no panel at all :(

>How-To-Repeat:
Pls - I'd rather not try to make this happen again - guess I will reinstall all gnome-related stuff from the Redhat-7.2 cdrom ....
