When the text in the attached PDF file is hightlighted within Evince the characters are wrongly rendered.

1) open the attached file
2) highlight the text

what should happen? The characters should show correctly.
What actually happens? The characters are garbled.

Hi,
I still have this issue on Ubuntu 11.10 (french) with Evince 3.2.1
Can anyone test ?
Comment 4 Fabio Durán Verdugo 2011-11-30 05:49:21 UTC
no, I can't reproduce, work fine for me

Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.

The bug is still there in Ubuntu 11.10, evince 3.2.1, poppler/cairo 0.16.7.
But this might not be the lattest version ?
Sorry, I don't think I can modify this bug status.
Comment 7 Fabio Durán Verdugo 2011-11-30 15:36:48 UTC
as per comment 6 reopening.

see I cannot reproduce
Comment 9 thibault.drevet 2012-02-12 12:59:09 UTC
Hi,

I have tested it again and unfortunately it is still present in today's Ubuntu Precise daily build (evince 3.3.5 | poppler/cairo 0.18.3)

By the way, you have to select the text with your mouse to reveal the bug. If you don't select the text, it is indeed displayed correctly.
Comment 10 Jason Crain 2012-02-25 09:29:36 UTC
This is a bug in poppler. I have submitted a bug report and patch at freedesktop.org bugzilla <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46603>
Comment 11 Germán Poo-Caamaño 2012-09-14 18:18:07 UTC
Closing this bug as NOTGNOME because it belongs to poppler.
