Attached are 2 patches for the properties and signal examples. The cairo example is talked about in another bug. 
I don't know if it's worth to convert the options example, though.
If I read the docs correctly, this has changed significant and most Python users will use one of the built-in Python modules for this anyway. Maybe this example can be removed?
