GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 653662
URL Linkes in PDF do not work on Gnome3/Evince
Last modified: 2013-02-13 23:34:07 UTC
[jamesarbrown@jblaptop Desktop]$ rpm -qa |grep evince evince-libs-3.0.2-1.fc15.x86_64 evince-nautilus-3.0.2-1.fc15.x86_64 evince-3.0.2-1.fc15.x86_64 [jamesarbrown@jblaptop Desktop]$ uname -r 2.6.38.8-32.fc15.x86_64 Loading a document with external http URL links causes ** (evince:7063): WARNING **: Unimplemented action: POPPLER_ACTION_UNKNOWN, please post a bug report in Evince bugzilla (http://bugzilla.gnome.org) with a testcase. For each link displayed and the link does not work. The "hand" hovers ok, but clicking has no result. Checked on dconf... there is no longer a url-handler section on gnome 3, perhaps the cause? Drop a note if you require the PDF doc in question. James
James, please attach the pdf in question to the bug. Can you confirm that you can follows links of this document on evince 2.32/gnome2? As far as I know, the url-handler section has nothing to do with this, as we use standard mechanisms in Glib/Gtk to open the URL (so if doing gnome-open url works on your machine, then evince should open links in the same way), but without the document, there is no much we can say.
Setting with needinfo.

Please find attached PDF. Sorry for delay, was working in a sandbox environment, so have had Jasperreports create this with a simple generic http web address. Problem still exists. Links work in Adobe Reader, Firefox kicks up all ok. [jamesarbrown@jblaptop ~]$ rpm -qa |grep Reader AdobeReader_enu-9.4.2-1.i48 I can look in more detail how these links are setup in Jasper if you need. If I get chance when I get back to UK tomorrow, will try on a Fedora 12 machine with Gnome2. James
Sorry forgot to say gnome-open http://www.enrogen.com works ok
well, this is a duplicate of some bug (I don't remember the number right now) as all the links in the attached pdf are done via Javascript and we don't support Javascript.
