Description elektrobank01 2011-06-24 10:46:59 UTC
"Dissolve" or "Fade in-out" animations in GNOME 3 are not a proper effects for
opening and closing windows. This effects are used in movies to slow down and
soften up the scene, in Linux world there is no word "Slow". So please use
another animation. Thank you!
Comment 1 Jasper St. Pierre (not reading bugmail) 2011-06-24 17:28:46 UTC
Do you have any ideas for replacement animations?
Comment 2 elektrobank01 2011-06-24 18:18:00 UTC
I have not idea, but I've never seen animation like this in any other OS from iOs to Android, Meego etc. I remember the days when first "clutter" came out, there were nice "glide-slide-scroll hoo-haa" effects.

Any more details on why you think the current animations are insufficient? I don't really have a problem with the current ones, and wouldn't want to introduce anything too distracting.
