Description Jon Nordby 2011-06-24 08:56:42 UTC
I'm a committer to GNOME, who does various stuff on things based on GNOME technology like:

- MyPaint (www.mypaint.org), GTK+ based drawing application commonly used in GNOME environments
- GStreamer, new elements/plugins for it
- Various Gimp and Gegl work. Just started on a GTK+ convenience library for Gegl: http://git.gnome.org/browse/gegl-gtk (still to be blogged about)

And other things that I think might be of interest to Planet Gnome reader:
- OpenRaster (http://create.freedesktop.org/wiki/OpenRaster), open raster image interchange format
- Maliit (www.maliit.org), input method framework and virtual keyboard

I am also involved in the organization of the DesktopSummit 2011.

Hello Jon,

Your blog looks like a nice addition to PGO, I am going to need a better hackergotchi though, this one is too small, blurry and doesn't have a transparent background.

Do you have a high resolution version of that (or another) picture that we can use to create a new one?
Comment 3 Jon Nordby 2011-09-26 11:34:07 UTC
Here is an updated hackergotchi. 100x100, sharper and with transparent background: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4096/4887611427_68030184a8_o.png

Since I started blogging about music, and don't think my somewhat esoteric taste is of general interest to PGO readers, I think the feed should be:

Hello Jon,

Sorry for the late reply, this one is still too blurry, plus the shadow is too sharp. As I mentioned, it would be better if you send a high resolution picture of yourself so that your face is about 170x170 or more and can then be scaled down.

Reopening. I was bumped off PGO due to not being a foundation member, but that is now fixed.
