Running x86_64 Fedora 15 with Gnome Shell 3.0.1

1. Go to system settings and sound

2. Select the output tab and select the device to be configured.

3. Change the output levels (Bass for example)

4. Close sound settings and reopen

5. Select the output tab and the device to be configured

6. The settings are reset to their defaults

7. Change the settings but leave the settings window open

8. Changes are registered in running apps (VLC for example)

Could you explain to me why you're creating 2 bugs about this?
You already filed it at:

In any case, the sound panel doesn't actually do any saving of its own.

Yes sorry I forgot to mention that in my comments.

I didn't know if I should log it with gnome or fedora as yes I know the gnome control center doesn't do any saving of it's own - however I thought there must be a function that is exporting or passing on any changes registered in the sound setting panel that might be the cause?
