- Join a muc allowing you to see the real JID of members
- Right click on a member and choose "Add contact"
- Empathy proposes you to add the muc specific JID of the contact instead of his real one.

If the real JID is not available, this option should just be unsensitive.

This is fixed with my branch for bug #663387
