Description Roberto Malinverni 2011-06-19 07:33:28 UTC
Archlinux, fully updated, x86_64

After gtk2 2.24.4 -> 2.24.5 update:
- windows of programs that use wxGTK (2.8.12) can't be resized (and they need a "killall" for closing...)
You can try with Filezilla (3.5.0) and Aegisub (svn 5415) (this latter can't even open videos anymore).

Even xchat and xchat-systray-integration are affected:
- xchat segfaults when the "notify highlight" plugin is used (it's a perl script)
- xchat-systray-integration causes the user list panel to appear blank, without user names displayed.

Downgrading gtk2 to 2.24.4 fixes everything.

The Archlinux packager found the relevant commit and suggested the fix. I can confirm that it works. After reverting the patch, all of the above is fixed.

I believe that this is fixed in 2.24.6
