Description florent.angly 2011-06-19 03:28:29 UTC
As per this discussion: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/rygel-list/2011-February/msg00004.html
"The bridging between Rygel and pulseaudio via the MediaServer spec does
not work anymore (since we switched to the MediaServer2 spec). AFAIK
pulseaudio support will be re-gained via the MPRIS2 spec some time
soon™."

It would definitely be handy to have this fixed to be able to stream any source from a computer to a UPNP/DLNA device.

a) that would not be our problem but pulseaudio's and
b) http://cgit.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/tree/src/modules/module-rygel-media-server.c#n69

I thought you were saying "support FOR pulseaudio will be regained", i.e. Rygel will be fixed!

Anyways, it looks like the issue is fixed in Pulseaudio 0.9.22, as the file you linked to indicates, and as the changelog states (http://pulseaudio.org/milestone/0.9.22):
   Stephen Moehle (1):
upnp: Implement the MediaServer2 D-Bus interface

Note that this version of PulseAudio is not yet in the usual Debian repositories.
