The steps to get the bug:
1) Put the mouse-cursor on the activity button
2) Press the left mouse button and let it pressed
3) Put the mouse somewhere else
3) Release the left mouse button
4) The activity button is unusable with the mouse till you click again on the top panel

I'm using Fedora 15 with Gnome 3.0.1
Comment 1 Giovanni Campagna 2011-06-14 20:26:18 UTC
I can't reproduce it with gnome-shell 3.0.2 (and actually remember seeing a fix for a similar bug), so I recommend testing with a newer version.
Comment 2 clemens.corny 2011-06-14 21:38:19 UTC
I've looked: I have Gnome 3.0.1 with gnome-shell 3.0.2 installed
Comment 3 Florian Müllner 2011-06-14 22:02:39 UTC
I can reproduce with master - while clicking the activities button does work, the following doesn't:

 - hot corner
 - hover effect on other items in the top bar
 - clicks on other items in the top bar
