Description Jean-Philippe MENGUAL 2011-06-11 18:19:19 UTC
Hi,

Could you have a look at this bug please:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=626620

The problem seems to be a regression from gnome 2.22 (lenny) to 2.30 (squeeze) and it's a pitty to regress.

Best regards,

[For future reference please describe the bug here so it can be found by querying instead of just linking to another bugtracker.]

Entering "konqueror www.google.com" works fine here on GNOME 2.32 (Fedora 14).
Same for "firefox www.google.com" so I don't see any upstream issue in a supported GNOME version (2.32 and 3.0)...

André, he also said that entering only "www.google.com" worked.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2011-06-13 20:53:04 UTC
I see... Okay, fixing the summary and bumping version to 2.32 as I can reproduce that part. (2.30 is not supported upstream anymore, 2.32 barely is either.)

Hi. Thanks for dealing with this bug. Indeed, "wwwagoogle.com" doesn't open the browser, entering "google.com" doesn't open (with 2.22, it opened the browser. As Debian is on 2.30.x I could not test 2.32. But I'll backport the fix if it's not too complex. Thanks for your help.
