GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 652006
Some Eclipse context menus are hidden by gnome-shell top bar
Last modified: 2011-06-06 18:25:40 UTC
Created attachment 189351 [details] Gnome shell top bar hides some Eclipse context menu items Right-clicking on Eclipse resources (in the Project Explorer, for instance) provides a context menu that is sometimes hidden by the top bar. This occurs when both the menu contains many options and the item clicked-on is in the bottom-half of the desktop. Attached are is an image containing two partial screenshots of my desktop that demonstrate the problem: in the left pane all menu options are visible because the item clicked-on is low enough in Project Explorer that the entire context menu can fit in the available desktop space. In the right pane the item clicked-on is high enough in the Project Explorer that the top menu option "New" is hidden by the top bar. (I'm using Eclipse 20110218-0911 and gnome-shell from package 3.0.1-0ubuntu provided by http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnome3-team/gnome3/ubuntu/dists/natty).
