GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 651845
Evolution does not respect font settings for the mail screens
Last modified: 2011-08-22 13:34:36 UTC
I have started a thread on fedoraforum.org about this problem, here's the link: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?p=1476519 Screenshot: http://vpv.fedorapeople.org/misc/evolution-fonts.png Evolution does not seem to respect the font settings for the mail preview pane or mail windows. Changing the fonts in Edit -> Preferences -> Mail Preferences -> General seems to have no effect on Evolution at all. In the screenshot above, I have selected "Use the same fonts as other applications" in Evolution and "Use the system fixed width font" in gedit. I think the fixed width/monospace fonts in both gedit and Evolution should thus look the same. However, these fonts in Evolution are not the same as in gedit.
Created attachment 190368 [details] Screenshot with text/plain mail with sans font I use evolution 3.0.2 under Ubuntu 11.10 'oneiric'. Nevermind what I set in Evolution prefs there is no way to get monospace font for mail body. Situation happens for text/html and text/plain messages. I have evo set to display plain text messages.
