An example of screen garbage

The login screen is fine, but after issuing password garbage occurs - about 1 time of 3-5 resumes. There is no garbage logging out session before suspend.

Sometimes it is possible to use Alt-F2 to bring an exec window: issuing "r<Enter>" restores normal display, without any sign of garbage. If that's not possible then only hardware reset allows to get back control - input is blocked, can't switch to VT1 to restart gdm.

Is this possible to add "restart" as last command to Gnome "unblock screen" function (as temporary solution)? Tried to use keyboard shortcut to run "r", but it displays "An error occured trying to run program (r)".

Distribution: Archlinux 64 bit
Kernel: 2.6.38.7-1
Gnome-shell version: 3.0.2-1
Video driver: nvidia 270.41.19-1
