Description Aurélien Mino 2011-05-28 18:21:26 UTC
In bug #587264 the easy solution has been chosen: pick randomly the first release.

However it would be better to ask the user, as is doing other software using MusicBrainz CD lookup service (Rhythmnbox, SoundJuicer, ...):

Results might indeed lead to different releases:
- either with different cover art
- or with different release names (e.g. http://www.musicbrainz.org/cdtoc/0gBH5JZsMcALxH3Mazg0cKTgv50-)
- or even with different release/track language (e.g. http://www.musicbrainz.org/cdtoc/1l1_HeX0h9GXiLZPDL1LhJW2yPg-)

The 2 links I've posted are broken because of Bugzilla URL parsing.
You need to manually add the ending "-" to the URL in your browser.

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
