GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 651305
PATCH: DAAP plugin for totem
Last modified: 2011-09-18 03:24:10 UTC
Created attachment 188797 [details] Patch against Git master as of May 27th 2011 I have begun to write a DAAP plugin for totem. This plugin allows you to watch movies shared over a network using DAAP. DAAP is the media sharing protocol used by iTunes. iTunes itself uses a form of DRM to protect its DAAP shares, but third party servers such as dmapd or forked-daapd can provide media to both totem and iTunes.
Totem for GNOME 3.2 will use Grilo to provide its various sources, so we won't be having actual "source" plugins in Totem itself. A DAAP plugin for Grilo would be more than welcome.
Great. I am now working on a DAAP plugin for Grilo. I have some basic functionality working and hope to finish things once Totem includes Grilo support.
See also bug #652516, Grilo DMAP plugin.
I'll close this as a duplicate of bug 652516 then. Please reopen if Totem needs some specific work (such as, maybe, password query).
