Created attachment 188730 [details] Debug file to possible show why not working the contracted and uncontracted table switch with six dot command Dear developers, I try testing toggling contracted braille table for braille display on/off. I checked enable contracted braille check box, and selected the U.S. English Grade 1 translation table. My Alva Satellite 570 Pro braille display two key press simulate this command (the braille device I need press the Help button and Info button with one merged key press). Because the contracted braille is toggled on, first switch is happening right (Orca switched the hungarian Brltty table), but the second key press does'nt take effect, contracted braille is not enabled again, and not selected the U.S. English Grade 1 translation table. For example, when I typing numbers, I see numbers with computer braille format, not the US english grade 1 literal format. When for example I opening Orca preferences, nothing change but close the Preferences dialog with ESCAPE key, contracted braille is enabled again right. I tested this problem with Ubuntu Lucid, Orca 3.1.2pre version. I attaching a debug.out file. Reproducation steps: 1. Check contracted braille in Orca gui preferences/braille page, and choose a contraction table. 2. Type some contracted presenting text, for example numbers in US english grade1 table. You will be see right numsign indicator before numbers. 3. Do a sixdot command. Now turned off the contraction table, you will be see prewious typed numbers with computer braille format. 4. You do again a sixdot command. You will be not see prewious typed numbers with contracted format. If you try moving braille display the typed text, nothing changing. 5. Open Orca preferences, and close the dialog with Escape key. Contracted braille is enabled again, and you will be see prewious typed numbers with contracted format. Attila
