GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 651177
add support for LAME presets on CD ripping
Last modified: 2020-03-17 09:30:29 UTC
This report was originally filled at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/786815 LAME defines four MP3 encoding presets: medium, standard, extreme and insane. As documented in LAME man page, this presets are meant to be future-safe and transparent to the end user (no need for "AVR" or "kbps" technobable). This presets should appear in the LAME configuration dialog of Banshee. Also, the "Standard" preset should be set to default: it is designed to be both high quality and small sized.
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
