Hello,

I just tried to print a photo from EOG, and I could only select the size of my photo paper with inches. I'm not used to anglo-saxon units such as inches, and it's painful having to convert inches into centimeters just to select the size of my paper...
If you could add support for centimeters at least, that would be kind.
 Thank you,

eog only provides the "Image Settings" tab. The rest of the dialog is standard GTK+. IIRC GTK tries to be smart, choosing the unit for the dialog by querying your systems locale settings for the best default unit (inch,mm,?).

Re-assigning.

Gimp uses the same dialog (like many others), I just recompiled Gimp 2.6.11, with gtk 2.24.8 - the same problem persists.

This problem appears in the Page Setup dialog too, though there the measurements is shown as just a text.

Change the LANG setting, changes the unit, but that is not very practical.

Suggestions:
  - Add a unit selector

  - Use the same unit as on the Image Settings page of the Print dialog.

  - Use the paper type as indication (A4 = mm, Letter = in)

John

We're moving to gitlab! As part of this move, we are closing bugs that haven't seen activity in more than 5 years. If this issue is still imporant to you and
still relevant with GTK+ 3.22 or master, please consider creating a gitlab issue
for it.
