What were you doing when the application crashed?
Attempt to play a DVD recorded on an LG DVD recorder from TV.
the VTS_01_*.VOB files play perfect sound and video, the thumbnail file VIDEO_TS.VOB is inanimate, causes a crash. Not interactive. 'dead'.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. If the VIDEO_TS.VOB(120 KB) file is opened with totem, the following erroneous error message is received:

The following plugin is required
DVD subpicture decoder

Open a movie file on the DVD with totem(1024 MB) and they play perfectly, sound and motion picture. 
codec Fluendo 12.4 allows playing all formats legally; this is not a license issue but a navigation issue.
Nothing is DRM-ed.
The thumbnail frame on Totem with SUSE 10.0 works perfect.
what am I missing with openSUSE 11.4?

Looks like it might be a GStreamer threading bug, but without a better stack trace it's hard to tell.

Could you please install all the GStreamer core debug packages and post a complete stack trace of the crash here?
