System: Linux RH 7.2, fresh "everything" installation. No other software added.  On Tyan Tomcat Pentium 1 233mhz, S3 Virge video card, 200mb+ memory, Mouse Systems serial mouse.

When I select the gnome window manager (running sawfish as the default the white panel bar appears, then the notice:
Application"panel" (process 25344) has crashed 
due to a fatal error.
(Segmentation fault).

>How-To-Repeat:
Any time I try to run Gnome, wether as a user or as root.

Please try the latest (1.4.x) version of gnome-core and gnome-libs
from http://download.gnome.org/ Contact me if you need RPMS.
