Description:
I recently upgraded from Red Hat 7.1 to 7.2. and now I find that when I start the Xserver there is a message that th GNOME panel has crashed due to segmentation fault and the panel does not function. If I logout and start X again, there is no problem. But if I reboot and start X, the problem appears again. Please note that I am using the Sawfish window manager.

I have found that the problem arises only if I include the Desktop
Guide Applet in the Panel.Also I sometimes get the message "you are
not using a GNOME compliant window manager", if this applet is
includedin the panel.

Please try the latest (1.4.x) version of gnome-core and gnome-libs
