GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 650195
Lyrics extension always requests to be upgraded
Last modified: 2011-06-04 03:00:39 UTC
The exact message is "Upgrade to Lyrics Plugin version 0.4", I searched everywhere a solution, but I am unable to find relevant details to solve it. If you have informations about to fix this problem, please let me know, Paolo By the way I attach my Banshee log and my system info. ":~$ uname -a Linux a 2.6.35-28-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 18 18:42:20 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux" (Maverick 64 bit edition)- Locale: English USA. Banshee 2.0 (2.0.1) C Library : GNU C Library version 2.12.1 (stable) Default C Compiler : GNU C Compiler version 4.4.5 (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.4.4-14ubuntu5) Distribution : Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop Environment : GNOME 2.32.0
This bug has been fixed in the lyrics extension for Banshee 2.0, however it's possible that you're still seeing this bug because Banshee can't tell the difference between the upgrade message and actual lyrics, so it wrote that text to the songs' metadata -- see Bug 640570 Comment 6 for more about this problem. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 640570 ***
