Would it be possible to have more details? What version of Linux? Which version of GNOME? Is this reproducible? thanks.
Since the issue is the gnome menubar and not the gdm, I'm reassigning.
Please try the latest gnome-libs and gnome-core packages available from http://download.gnome.org/ These have fixes for many crashes and other bugs in both packages. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 59500 ***
