GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 649800
Lyrics extension prevents cover art display from working
Last modified: 2020-03-17 09:21:38 UTC
When the lyrics extension is enabled, cover art stops properly displaying in Banshee. When a track is played, the associated cover art disappears from the album browser, and doesn't show up when mousing over the current track info or the Banshee notification icon. I'm running Banshee (and BCE) 2.0.1 on the Fedora 15 beta.
Yes, I have the same issue. Disabling lyrics plugin have resolved problems with the cover art displaying.

I can confirm that this is still an issue in Banshee 2.4.0.
I'm suffering this issue in two different machines with 64bits archlinux, banshee 2.6.0-2 from arch's repo and banshee-lyrics-extension built from sources. Not sure if it's related with this issue, but I can see an error message in my terminal: Missing method .ctor in assembly /usr/lib/banshee/Banshee.Lyrics.dll, type Typespec 0x1b000002 Wish this information helps.

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
