Description Jasper St. Pierre (not reading bugmail) 2011-05-08 01:09:28 UTC
Yes, I know I have to return my hard drive back to NewEgg. I put in an
RMA and I'm backing stuff up as we speak. No, I don't want to be reminded
of it every time I open nautilus or do anything that touches udisks.

Don't show the health notification if the user has already seen it.

If the user has seen the health notification, it is quite likely they
understand the problem, but doesn't want an unexpirable notification
popping up every five or so minutes, interrupting whatever work
they're doing.

I also took out the "never times out" aspect of the notiifcation,
making it significantly less intrusive.

In Disks 3.4, this notification was removed so this bug is obsolete so closing as such. However, in Disks 3.8, notifications are back, see

 http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-disk-utility/commit/?id=314b9d0f29cdf8a8f88dc22b6ab8c520f2a83eb0

by way of a gnome-settings-daemon plugin. Please reopen if you still think there's a problem.

Btw, I just added this patch to fix what I believe was the problem you reported
