Description Jesse 2011-05-03 14:13:35 UTC
When making changes to a report via the Options menu, click Apply will apply the changes, then gray both the Apply and OK boxes. The user is left with only Cancel and Help to click, which is misleading.
Comment 1 Frank H. Ellenberger 2011-05-03 20:53:41 UTC
IMHO this is no bug but a feature. It shows you, there are no pending changes and so there is no need to apply something. In most programs "OK" is a shortcut for apply+close while "Cancel" is a simple close of the dialog.

Eventually somebody of the documentation team can check, if this is explained in the documents.

First of all: thanks for your work!

Line 24 should be adjusted: "All of the material has not been reviewed for V2.0." because you are reviewing the gnucash version 2.x report options.

Some options have defaults in Edit->Preferences like 'Report Currency', probably we should link them.

Add links to where common report preferences are set

Hi Frank,

Thanks for reviewing my work.
I have changed "All of the material has not been reviewed"
to "Some of the material has not been reviewed"
and added links to where common rpt prefs are set for Report Date and Currency.

commit 5b406970

See also commit 68c4acc:
 There 2 different tips.
 Mark a para as tip.
Also "See ref" is a sentence and should have a full stop.
We can integrate the links in the text.
Comment 6 Frank H. Ellenberger 2016-01-26 09:55:10 UTC
This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Once that release is available, you may want to check for a software upgrade provided by your Linux distribution.

@Chris, feel free to contribute further improvements in separate bug reports. :-)

Reassign version to 2.4.x so that individual 2.4 versions can be retired.
