1. Open gThumb
2. Load image
3. Perform redeye removal
4. Click on save
5. gThumb crashes with

gthumb: tiffcomposite.cpp:1141: virtual uint32_t Exiv2::Internal::TiffDirectory::doWrite(Exiv2::Internal::IoWrapper&, Exiv2::ByteOrder, int32_t, uint32_t, uint32_t, uint32_t&): Assertion `sv == d' failed.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it.
