libnotify is not really set up for multiple 'contexts' in a single
process, so we have to update the app name for each notification
we show.

Otherwise, an ugly 'gnome-settings-daemon' shows up in the message tray.

The strings are up for discussion, of course.

Jon points out that the string for updates should be 'Software Updates'
