Description Cosimo Cecchi 2011-04-26 16:52:39 UTC
From downstream Fedora report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=699742

"If a file transfer is running in a window, and file browser is another window,
and you close the file browser window, any attempt to open the file browser
again just causes the file transfer progress window to pop to front. this means
you cant get to look at files without cancelling transfer".

This is not very obvious, but you can right-click on Nautilus' launcher and choose "open new window".
Comment 2 Julien Olivier 2011-06-17 09:19:27 UTC
Maybe file transfers should appear in the shell's top bar, next to the system icons. That would fix this problem, and avoid losing track of the transfers...
Comment 3 Alexandre Franke 2016-12-04 22:28:10 UTC
File transfer don't have their own window anymore now, so that shouldn't be an issue anymore.
