Description Volker Sobek (weld) 2011-04-26 12:51:40 UTC
This is a major inconsistency with all other gnome applications.

How to reproduce:
- open gedit and write some text
- mark one word
- click somewhere else in the text
- click on the middle mouse button to insert the previously selected word

Result: nothing happens
Expected result: the previously selected word should be pasted
Comment 1 Volker Sobek (weld) 2011-04-26 13:38:03 UTC
OK, the last selection of some other applications isn't remembered neither. For instance gnote and evince. So I guess that's more a global gnome problem?

AFAIK this is on purpose on GtkTextView, fill free to reassign to them.
