Description Cosimo Cecchi 2011-04-25 16:21:54 UTC
Epiphany could make use of symbolic icons in the location entry to indicate the security level, instead of the regular lock icons.

Symbolic icons also have the ability to be filled in with the desired color on the fly, so using them could allow e.g. to make the lock green if the connection is encrypted, or the broken lock red if the certificate is not trusted, and so on.

I've started to hack on this, but I cannot find any lock icon in the symbolic theme. I guess we need to ask for one?
Comment 2 Xan Lopez 2011-05-21 03:44:51 UTC
Hrm, actually I guess we can use the "changes-{allow,prevent}" stuff. It's a lock after all.
Comment 3 Xan Lopez 2011-05-22 12:13:27 UTC
I have pushed this to master and have opened bug #650789 to track possible enhancements to the icons we use.
