Description Brian Defferding 2011-04-24 15:47:10 UTC
I am scanning an illustration in parts, and piecing them together in GIMP. I scan them in at 310 dpi, then I copy and paste them together in a larger size file (which will eventually be shrunk down later). The moment I use the "paste" command or "paste into" command, the program freezes for three seconds, then auto-quits. It has happened every single time I do this. This has rendered the program obsolete for me to scan in larger illustrations and paintings into the computer. Needless to say, very frustrated.

Does your issue still occur in Gimp 2.8?
I have had no pasting issues in 2.8.
