Binary package hint: banshee

Playing from banshee produces no sound while it's working fine with rhythmbox.

It seems to be an issue with the volume, which appears to be set to the maximum, but is actually at 0.00.

This is particularly relevant.
[1 Debug 02:53:44.400] (libbanshee:player) scaled volume: 1.00 (ReplayGain) * 0.00 (User) = 0.00

I am not an expert of gstreamer but is it ok to have audiosink_has_volume value which test if any element of audiosink have volume property and use playbin is true to set volume. I think it must be audiosink or element of audiosink.

Anyway the error occure when audiosink_has_volume is set to true. So use playbin.
current_volume is set 2 time on volume-changed of playbin and on user set volume.

NB: If bug come from user set volume, it come from managed part but I think it come from c part...

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
