Description Alistair Buxton 2011-04-16 17:11:00 UTC
How to reproduce:

Import a set of MP3s from the same album but with different artists. For example, a compilation album.

What I expect to happen:

The album should only show up once in the album browser, and selecting it should show all the tracks on the album.

What happens instead:

The album shows up once for each artist. Clicking any of the versions of the album only lists a single artist's tracks.

Thanks for the bug report. For more information on how to tell Banshee to treat an album as a compilation, see the last section on this page of the user guide: http://banshee.fm/support/guide/track-list/

It's a fairly common complaint that this process should be more intuitive, so I'm marking this as a duplicate of Bug 624311. If you have any additional ideas to suggest for improving this process, feel free to mention them there.
