Description Sebastian Dröge (slomo) 2011-04-15 16:51:02 UTC
This would be used by callback registration functions where the callback will be used for the complete lifetime of the process. Some examples of this are in gstreamer, e.g.

http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/head/gstreamer/html/gstreamer-GstTagList.html#gst-tag-register
