Description Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2011-04-14 18:34:20 UTC
With the new version of gedit I detected that it is currently scrolling really slow, I disabled the composition and it works as expected again.

I've just tried adding:
!gtk_cairo_should_draw_window (cr, mywindow)

but doesn't seem to be the problem.
Comment 2 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2011-04-14 19:19:13 UTC
I think we should deactivate the composition until we find the problem if there is a way to have it working.
Comment 3 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2011-04-14 19:20:23 UTC
Another idea that I had in my mind is to not use composition at all and get the slider tracking the style schema from the sourceview, in this way we get the color of the textview and we set it as background.
Comment 4 jessevdk@gmail.com 2011-04-15 09:24:06 UTC
Ok, lets disable it then and spend some more time testing it for 3.2. Clearly performance is more important than the 2 non-transparent pixels.
Comment 5 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2011-05-01 10:00:11 UTC
Closing this as now that we don't have composition this has become a dup.
