GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 647241
Excessive redraw and jitter of thumbnails when side pane is too small
Last modified: 2011-04-09 02:46:51 UTC
Created attachment 185568 [details] demo file Load the attached PDF file into Evince 2.32.0. Make the side pane display Thumbnails, and then drag the divider as far to the left as possible. You should see a horizontal scrollbar appear in the side pane, because the pane can be made a little bit smaller than the displayable area. Repeatedly hit Page Up/Down. The thumbnail view will repaint at least 10 times over the space of a second while the thumnails keep alternately jumping a few pixels left and right. I don't know if this is just a problem when the thumnail view is too small, or if it also indicates that the thumbnail view is in general redrawing too much (maybe it only jumps when it's too small, but redraws 10x without jumping, when it's not too small). Tested with other PDFs too and they manifest the same problem, but the attached PDF seems to manifest the problem more severely.
Oops, just realized this is a dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 646426 ***
