Patch to fix the problem

Here is a patch to correct a syntax error that only shows up on Mac OS/Quartz.

I pushed this fix, as it really was my mistake when refactoring that code.

This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.
